Obsessions

Sometimes anxiety can cause a person to have obsessions. Having obsessions is sometimes called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD. Obsessions are thoughts or ideas that come into people’s minds and won’t go away again. Someone with an obsession might feel they have to do something over and over again, like checking doors are locked or washing their hands. This can seem very strange and scary, but there are medicines and talking-cures (talking to a counsellor or therapist) that are good at treating obsessions.
