Anger
It is okay to feel angry – everyone does at some time!
Anger feels worst when you keep it a secret. Anger about one thing can make you feel angry with everyone around you, so it is good to talk to someone who can help you understand where the anger is coming from and what to do to let it out without hurting you or people around you.
Sometimes I’m angry with the person I’m looking after
- That’s normal – try not to feel guilty. You might be stressed or scared – these feelings can come out as anger.
- Try to talk to an adult about the different feelings you have. What would help you feel better?
I’m angry with other people around me
- If you feel that other people in your family don’t help out as much as you do, try telling your parent(s) how it makes you feel doing all the work.
- Sometimes people who don’t understand a health problem or disability say stupid things. It might help to tell them how you feel.
