Dealing with feelings

I worry about someone a lot

If you look after someone, you might worry about them day and night. This can make it hard to go out and live your life.

  • Try not to feel guilty when you are out. You deserve a break!
  • It’s okay if you forget about the person you are looking after when you are out.
  • If you worry about someone when you are at school, ask to be able to use the school phone to check up on them at break or lunchtime.
  • Mobile phones can help you stay in touch with home.
  • Sometimes someone who worries a lot can ask you to stay with them when you want to go out.
