The User Group is regularly asked for their ideas and opinions on our service and this helps us make sure we’re doing the right stuff for you.

If you’d like to take part or find out more, we recruit new members about every six months, so drop us an email to youngcarers@carers.org

What’s it like being in the User Group?

One of the group members tells us about her experience:

"I love being on the young carers user group its really cool. When i was chosen to be on it i sat and thought about how we could make YCNet a better place for us. We stuck with the idea of a really good air hockey game to make YCNet a really fun place. We chose a name Whacktastic and the the environment an outta space arcade and lastly we chose the opponents Sam and Ewan =). When the game was finished it felt like we had some kind of backstage pass - we saw a preview of it and made comments on it before it was even posted on the website. I also liked chatting to my user group buddys. I felt the game was a huge success. We all worked really well as a team. We even managed to have a laugh in between the hard work we did. It was great!!!!!"
