    hey i have a very similare problem i have to lift my dad and sometimes move him, he weighs bout 10/11 stone. you need to be careful because i have damaged my back and now i suffer with lower back pain and i also collapse and cant move for days at a time because of this pain so be careful!!!!!!! xxx anjixxx 15

    Ok the first thing that i have to suggest is to go on a manual handling course, so that u get tort how to lift your mum correctly.Speak to your doctor to get some pain relif and to make sure your not damaging ur backDo u have any1 else to help u bro's sis's dad ect. if so tell them about your pain and see if they can help you lift her.Make ...

    My mum has M.S. and cannot walk by herself or use her arms properly. Every now and again she falls and i have to pick her up. Due to that i have been hurting my back because she is over 9stone & taking time off skool. Does any one know how to tackle this problem? I have tryed to do it properly etc but it doesnt work!
