it okay there are not many people that have it.  it limits her fine and gross motor skills, she cannot walk far and has only 2 words. BUT she understands everything you say so at times she get very fustrated and head buts/bangs and kicks (her special pedro boots hurt!!).

    Hi,

I also care my my disabled sister, she doesn't have angelman's but she does have a chromosone disorder but it isn't diagnosed. Two of her chromosones got swapped around and even though she is 17 her brain is more like that of a 2 year old. Like you, if she is frustrated she can be a bit violent (soo with you with the pedro boots, they cane!) She has more than two words but definitely has less of an understanding than your sister. She has no reasoning really and her speech is fairly limited, I sometimes feel like her only translator! Despite all that she has a fantastic sense of humour! We are really close. She also has epilepsy, does your sister have it? How old is your sister? We are just starting to look for places for her to live after school is up,I'm really involved in her life and that is my decision but I'm finding it very daunting and hard at the moment because most of the places that are good for her are either really far away or too full up so she could end up in a home :S I will quit jabbering now, hopefully hear from you soon!

(PS I am brand new to this thing so who knows if I'll make it to sign back in, bit of a technophobe!)
