    Welcome to YCNet's Top Tips!

There's all sorts of things you can do with the Interactive section of YCNet. But we know it'd take you years to learn how it all works! So, from now on, every week or two we'll put another Top Tip here for you to try. After a while you'll all be experts!

Top tip - Setting up your profile

Did you know you can set up some information about you,for people to see when they click on your name in the discussion boards? Justwrite a few lines telling people about you, your interests and anything elseyou fancy, send it to us at youngcarers@carers.org and we'll get it put upthere! (Of course, our usual safety rules apply, so please don't include any ofyour contact details or anything like that.)

Top tip: Don't just read the blogs - say what you think about them!

Did you know that, as well as reading the blogs written by our official YCNet bloggers, you can also add your own comments to them? Your comments will appear underneath the blog for everyone to see, and maybe make more comments in return.

Join in the conversation – when you’ve read a blog post, just scroll down to the bottom and type your message in the “Leave a Comment” box, then press Submit.

    Personalise your discussion board messages

Sick of seeing the green YCNet logo next to every message you post on the discussion boards? Well, you can change that for your own personal "avatar" - either a picture you've found or one you've made yourself! Choose your picture (and try to make it roughly square), email it to us at youngcarers@carers.org, and we'll sort it out. (Please don't use a photograph of you or anyone you know, though.)
