hi i'm new and was wondering who do you after and whats wrong with them.i look after mym mum and she has artritus and M.E.i'm 11 years old so probably you won't talk to me,but i was just wondering whats everybodys situation as a young carer?

Also my stepmom suffers from OCD and bipolar disorder!

 

well mostly i look after my mum who has 3 slipped disks, whiplash injuries to her neck and this problem with her leg, where it often "spazzes" but i also have to look after my sisters and my dad e.g. washing, cooking ironing cleaning the house ect.

hi my name is shona and i look  after my mum,gran and granda.Mum is disabled as she has a plastic bone in her leg.She also has mayaneres.My gran has atharitis and my granda has asthma.I help all of them with my 2 big bros nd my little sister.

being 11 makes absolutely no difference at all! honest.  i care for my mum who has MS, and tho recently diagnosed, may have had it for over 6 years!  x

Hi! I look after my Dad, and sometimes my Mum. My Dad has Bipolar, Borderline Personality and Fibromyalgia. He has to walk with a stick because of Fibromyalgia, but the BP and BPD is what's the worst thing with him. Sometimes he's completely normal and then other times he's completely mad. He can feel on top of the world, like nothing can hurt him or he can feel really, really depressed. It's weird not knowing how he's going to be but he goes away one week a month to a support unit. That's when I usually have to look after Mum, because she's got Depression and usually needs loads of hugs and help and someone as a sounding board for her problems, so I try and always be there for her when she needs me. My Dad can hurt me emotionally a lot, but he's never hurt me physically so I have that much to be happy about. BTW I'm 13.

hey im 11 2. i care for my bro and sis. it can be really harsh or it can feel like its the reason i live. some times i love it and some times i hate it. my bro is severly disabled with torretts, dyspracsia, autism and ocd. my sis is severly disabled withautism and selective mute-ism. no matter what happens i no i love them.

my little brother has ADHD, Asperges, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attatchment disorder and many more and mym mum despression - we also think that my older brother has ADD so a bit of a hand ful really
