Im Doing a project for my local carers office...

Trying to think of some wondeful idea that would help to make everyday just a lil brighter.

so.....so far Im thinking of helping younger carers by sending out mailpacks with interactive games inside or a small magazine with tips and stories...

Also an idea to send out beads sets, so we can make bracelets and later have an exhibition and sell them trying to raise some money...

 im a bit stuck at the mo...

any ideas??

I think a small magazine/newsletter is a really good idea! Possibly featuring tips from other young carers.. or perhaps stories on how young carers have found it useful to deal with life with the responsibilities of having to look after someone.  This could be particularly useful for YC who don't always have the time to log on to YC.net!

If you are looking to arrange an exhibition/event to sell the bracelets made by young carers, perhaps you could contact your local newspaper to publicise the event so more people know about it.  Why don't you arrange for other things to be sold too? Maybe round up as many of the young carers in your area and bake cakes to be sold? Just an example, the list is endless! Most people are more than willing to help people within their local community, especially if it is a fun day out too!
