These are poems I wrote about a certain...for lack of a better word, boy....whom I mentioned in the chat yesterday. He drives me up the flumping wall.
A perfect boy, without a fault,
(Apart from being catty and mean),
Everything about him has to be bigger,
He’s a poofy drama queen!
If I was ill, he’d surely say,
“Well mine’s worse because I’m dead”,
If I was grounded, he’d tell me,
“Well I’ve been chained to my bed!”
“People ask for my autograph,
They bow down in the street!
I once got offered a gajillion pounds,
For doing a Meet’n’Greet!”
I’d like to just say “Ha, yeah right!”,
And dive at him, snarling,
But he’d only hit me with his purse,
And say “Oh stop that darling!”.
And after that, because my friends (who also loathe this boy but he clings to us like a limpet) liked it so much, I wrote Limelight 2 (and Limelight 3 is in the works)
So you know about the drama queen,
The one who’s more than a bit camp,
He’d say that he was soaking wet,
If I complained about being a bit damp.
Everything is “me me me”,
When it’s about others too,
If I had something good in my life, it’d be,
“Well I’m SO much better than you”
He gets on my nerves, he’s so annoying,
I wish he'd just go away,
But for as long as there's a handbag shop in the area,
It's safe to say that he'll stay.
